Harley Davidson open day with 'Woodedz'

QUO-incidence played at the opening of a new Harley dealership in Slough, along with Southampton rock band BURN and Quo bassist, John ‘RHINO’ Edwards’ band, WOODEDZ.

Just after 11am, the band opened with Quo classic ‘Caroline’ with the main man Rhino watching from the back of the marquee… a great moment for any tribute band, performing in front of one of their heroes..

With the bands slot over, BURN were next on the bill and belted out some old school rock, from AC/DC, to Whitesnake and the Darkness… great band and a nice bunch of blokes too!

Wandering around the marquee and grounds were also some of Status Quo’s crew and management… all were very complimentary of the bands performance.

2.30 pm and Rhino’s band WOODEDZ take to the stage amongst huge applause and powered through an hour of self penned songs, covers and a few Quo tracks for good measure… drumming for Rhino was his nephew Billy Kress and at just 16 years old was simply fantastic! On guitar, Rhino’s son, Freddie Edwards, himself only 18, but this lad is seriously good… and you can’t go wrong with one of the best bassists in the business… anyone who gets the chance to see the WOODEDZ is well advised to go along…

The band would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended, BURN, Paul Lewis from Harley Davidson and the members of the Quo crew for making the day possible, including Andy (Quo’s driver) Mike Paxman (Producer, website administrator and countless other things! Thanks too for your kind comments) Mike Hrano (Quo fan club, and merchandising) and Lloyd Gilbert, (Quo’s guitar tech)... And last but by no means least, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards.. who happily signed autographs and chatted with the crowd throughout the day… and for the photo opportunity (see main pic)

Look forward to the next time…
