BASH AT THE BASIN - MILTON KEYNES - SAT 26TH JULY 08
The 'Bash' was organised well in advance of the actual day (nearly a year in the making). It was a 50th Birthday party with a difference... Doug Yates threw a mini QUO concert in the back garden of his house in Milton Keynes.
Over 230 guests were invited to attend the evening to raise money for the WILLEN HOSPICE... a cancer charity dear to Doug's heart.
An auction of various signed celebrity memorabilia took place and QUO-incidence were introduced by Doug.... the crowd entered in to the whole event, and the band played for nearly 2 and a half hours!
QUO-incidence would like to thank Doug for the invite to play at such a great event..... his organisation was second to none and we look forward to the BASH 2!!
In total, Doug managed to raise in excess of £4000 for a worthy cause..
Thanks again Doug.....

A few of the comments we have received so far...
Hi Doug, Just a note to say thanks for inviting me – you did a fantastic job of that night and should be really proud of what you achieved. The band were first class – you created a real gig atmosphere in your own back garden and what a great bunch of friends and family you have. .......... Roger
Dear Doug,
Just a note to thank you and your family for all the hard work that must have gone into ensuring such a successful party.
Jan & I had a ball the band were excellent and sound the dog's nuts.
Many thanks and congratulations,
Regards,
Peter
Doug
Hopefully you’ve recovered from your exertions last night.
Thanks for a great party. Me, and judging by the look of some of the other older males, thoroughly enjoyed being transported back to our teenage years listening to Quo. I hadn’t heard some of those classics such as “Break the Rules” and “Paper plane” for about 30 years. The tribute band were excellent – and all in a good cause.
Thanks again...............Gary
QUO-incidence headlined the Saturday night at one of the biggest Beer Festivals in the country, at Keswick, Cumbria, on Saturday June 7th 2008....2700 people attended the event in a huge marquee erected on the grounds of the Rugby Club.
The band took to the stage at 9.30pm and delivered an hour and a half of Quo classics to a more than enthusiastic audience...(special thanks go to Adrian from Counterfeit Quo for standing in on the night)...video footage can be seen on the media page.. (www.keswickbeerfestival.co.uk)
Below are some feedback that the band have received from the gig.... all comments are taken from the message board on the Official STATUS QUO website www.statusquo.co.uk

I came over from Portugal last week to stay with friends in Carlisle, and they had some tickets for the Keswick beer festival and they told me a Quo tribute were on, LETS GET GOING.
The bands before Quo-incidence were quite good and I thought I hope the trib band were going to be as good and not let us down.
They came on and were totally blinding from start to finish it was like watching and listening to the real Quo.
Totally different line up to when I last seen them, Paul still leads from the front but there was an awesome bass player with the same guitar as Rhino, the Rick was solid and looked like the real Rick Parfitt, and the drummer was just on the business.
Didn't want the night to end..
Brilliant show chaps

Guys
It was a great night and you were awesome, you should start playing more gigs more frequently.
we want to see more and more of you
4500x was brilliant and the mystery medley was spot on.
Good to eventually see a Bass player who actually plays the RHINO way.
Totally brilliant performance from a great band who stole the show at a great Beer festival on a lovely weekend.

Great gig! Me and the missus really enjoyed the show!
It sounded superb and the band make very convincing "Quo" members
Real Ale, great weather, Quo, and all in the wonderful Lake District. A perfect Day!

I was right at the front by the guy dressed as ELVIS, he was really giving it some with Brian who spotted him straight away and had a laugh with him.
I agree with you Brian was superb and giving everything into that performance showed, it was like looking at Rhino playing except Rhino is taller and has more hair, no offence Brian.
Quo incidence are the closest thing I have heard to status quo since watching state of quo.
I was very proud of Quo-incidence as they rammed the numbers out to a packed audience who bounced right through the performance, we are proud of Status Quo and you did them Justice Paul.
WELL DONE
Can't wait for the next gig lads.
See you soon
Tony
